Andrew Heard (Murray Bridge resident, MFS officer, and Murray Bridge Rifle Club member) has just competed in rifle shooting at the World Police and Fire games in Winnipeg, Canada. He finished the games with 2 gold medals for his individual shoots and 2 silver medals as a member of a team. This year Andrew competed in the Masters division, which is the second highest level.
The competition is shot over two days. Day 1 was over 300 metres where they shot 20 rounds 3 times. Day 2 was 15 shots at 400m, 15 shots at 500m, and 15 shots at 600
He and wife, Bronwyn, can now take it easy and enjoy the sights before trekking home again.
