The South Australian Rifle Association Inc. advises members that nominations are now open for the election of three (3) Board Directors. The successful candidates will be elected for a two-year term ending at the October 2028 AGM. Members can download the Notice of Election and nomination form below.

2026 Board Election
Notice is hereby given that arrangements have been made for Leanne Galpin to act as Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting an election for three (3) Board Directors of the South Australian Rifle Association Inc.
Nominations open: Saturday 22 August 2026
Nominations close: 10.00 am, Saturday 5 September 2026
Persons eligible to nominate and vote are all Life Members and Financial Individual Members as at 5.00 pm on Saturday 5 September 2026.
Nominations must be made on the approved form and signed by the candidate and two persons eligible to vote in the election. Candidates may also submit a profile statement of no more than 200 words, which must be received by the Returning Officer no later than the close of nominations.
If a ballot is required, voting will be conducted using electronic voting software. The electronic ballot will open on Monday 14 September 2026 and close at 10.00 am on Monday 5 October 2026.
Eligible voters who have supplied an email address to the Association will receive a voting link by email. Other eligible voters will receive voting instructions and a link by text message or post to the contact details recorded by the Association.

The AGM notice and meeting papers will be published separately once finalised. SARA’s previous AGM notices have included the agenda, previous AGM minutes, audited accounts, Board elections, appointment of auditors and any special resolutions.
Members are encouraged to ensure their contact details and membership status are up to date with the Association so they can receive election and AGM communications promptly.
